The articles in this edition as usual reflect the experiences I have been encountering in my work and life.
Managing your Energy Bank Account is a principle of practice that has made a significant difference to many people's lives. We are so good at measuring other things, but rarely do we measure the precious commodity of our own energy.
Similarly, if you have ever experienced frustration or upset ($#%#!!) then learning to manage your own expectations and the expectations of others is vital. When I realised my life was built on expectations that were so high I was most certain to fail them all in some way, and therefore I spent my days constantly feeling frustrated and like a failure...changing my expectations really did make me happier.
Many of the people I have been working with have been juggling their own divided life. The life they live in public, and the life they live in private, is an example. How about what you see is what you get...such a joy to live this way. So easy. Risky at times, and very liberating.
Finally, in a similar vein to living a Divided Life, is my more personal experience of living in Radical Truth.
On the home front, Natalie and I have settled into a lovely routine. Our evenings have been spent reading the Twilight series together, which has been a great joy. Now approaching the middle of the final book. We have tickets to "New Moon" for opening day next week. While I mentioned some of the archetypal influences of the phenomenon of Twilight in an earlier article stay tuned for an article dedicated to this. I have a strong interest in pop culture and its archetypal themes.

We humans are have become very good at measuring things. We have yet to really learn how to be aware of, measure and manage energy.
Just imagine that every day you received one hundred units of fresh clean energy. Think of these units like dollars, a measure that makes sense to us. At 2 am in the morning 100 units of energy is deposited, day in day out.
How do we spend our energy?
Well there are the obvious things, like the energy it takes to live life, to move, work, clean house, meet friends. Then there is the energy we put into things..our pleasure activities, exercise, projects. And the energy we put into relationships, and community.
Of our 100 daily units, how much do we spend on each?
And then what about the energy drains? Energy drains may include the following.
People who suck our energy, leaving us depleted. You know who they are. Whenever you think of them you feel tired. To Read the Full article...

Managing Expectations
.....When we fail to manage expectations of any relationship there will be upset. (How many people have experienced this in their primary relationships, especially after marriage. I expect my wife to do...I expect my husband to...!!)
I advise anyone to consider anger and frustration as red flags for the very likelihood that an expectation has not been met. Or to put it another way, if you notice you are angry, upset or frustrated, then look at your unmet expectations.
If Mrs. Jones calls and is angry and upset, chances are she has a failed expectation.
Step one in supporting Mrs. Jones is first and foremost to really listen to Mrs.Jones. Very few service providers do this. More..

Living a Divided Life, and a life of Radical Truth
We are scattered like a thousand pieces across our world, living a divided life. There is the part of us that appears like we have it all together in public. The part of us that is terrified of what people would think if they saw behind our mask of perfect. The part of us that constantly worries about what people will think if we do this or that. The part of us that yearns for something greater, like a purposeful purpose, or a determined and clear way forward. The part of us that believes we must do the right thing. Whatever that is! Stay in an unhappy marriage for the kids, or because of the money thing, or because isnt that what you do? The part of us that has a different self outside of a marriage, playing the field, hoping to remain undiscovered. The part of us that is trapped in work that has no movement and rhythm, that we experience as the same track playing over and over again, day in, day out. The part of us that obeys someone elses rules, and wonders, why? Maybe our parents said that this is how we are to live our life, and we bought it, no questions asked. The part of us that thinks we can get away with some of our little tricks and little atrocities, that falls under a spell of power, or seduction, or glamor. The part of us that misbehaves anyway, because we have not yet learned to stop throwing tantrums. More...
Radical Truth
...The thread in my life has been my inner search for my own truth. What is my truth, and how do I express that in the world. And how do I support other people to express their truth? This path, combined with truths twin, Integrity, has been my constant companion. More..

For a fabulous TED speech on Biomimicry, for those of you that despair about our future...how nature offers us all that we need, and always has, if only we took the time to look and listen.
From our colleague, David Martin who is doing incredible work in the world around freeing up patents to allow innovation for a viable future, please see this article.
Also from Dave Martin, his speech in Florianopolis, Brazil, Transforming Values for an Alternative Destiny. Very powerful stuff for anyone interested in the healthy future of our planet.
For all the readers who are coaches, have a look at this 5 minute video, Intangibly Inarticulatable. It perfectly says why we can't explain what it is we do.
Finally, if you missed this last time, women do check out , Women on the Edge of Evolution. This is a free 14 part weekly audio series, which by week three had reached 25,000 women around the world.
