Join me this Wednesday and learn about the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Project and How it is Changing the Health Care Landscape in Colorado, the U.S., and Possibly the World
Dear Subscribers,
Mark your calendars and join me on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 and find out what the Fitzsimons Redevelopment and Anschutz Medical Campus projects mean to Colorado and the country.
Fitzsimons Redevelopment Life Science District and the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Centers (UCDHSC) Anschutz Medical Campus are two major developments, currently underway that will change the medical and scientific landscape in Colorado, the United States and possibly the world.
The Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority (FRA) is a special-purpose governmental entity created in 1996 under an intergovernmental agreement between the City of Aurora and the University of Colorado Board of Regents. FRA oversees the commercial development of the Fitzsimons Life Science District, ensuring its legacy as the center of life science pursuits in the Rocky Mountain Region, provides life science companies an environment where they can thrive and sources to enhance their success, including incubator facilities and services as well as connections between private industry and the University of Colorado. The FRA works with its partner, Forest City Fitzsimons, to develop the 170-acre Colorado Science + Technology Park at Fitzsimons, which will house commercial bioscience companies in over 6.5 million square feet of space.
The University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Centers development of the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora will provide an unprecedented opportunity for the university and hospitals including University of Colorado Hospital, The Childrens Hospital, and the VA - to reinvent themselves and to build the future of health care from the ground up. The initial phase of the campus is estimated to cost $1.5 billion, and will result in 3.4 million gross square feet of education, patient care and research space. In addition, scientists from the university will be working with research and development companies at the adjacent Colorado Science + Technology Park at Fitzsimons.
