Dear Subscribers -
I just returned from an amazing week at a National Speakers Association Convention in Orlando, Florida. What was so incredible to me was how many of the speakers mentioned intuition as a vital component in their success.
Their didn't always use the word, "intuition," but attributed their achievements to a "gut instinct," "hunch," "inner wisdom" or the like. Many had overcome extreme adversity such as loss of limbs, disfigurement, bankruptcy, loss of homes and family. To a person they spoke about finding their way again through connection with God (Universe, Inner Spirit.)
It was quite moving to hear of the healing that took place in so many people's lives after a major loss. Of course most of us are fortunate to be able to connect with our intuition without a huge crisis, but it was wonderful to be reminded that the Divine connection is always on, even when we're down and almost out. We just have to ask, listen and act on its wisdom.
Thanks to those of you who wrote this month to offer book suggestions and ask questions you'd like to see answered in this newsletter. I appreciate the response!

3. HOW CAN YOU TELL WHEN IT'S YOUR INTUITION ON THE LINE?
~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*
This was the topic you asked about most frequently when I asked for input in last month's issue -- "How do I know it's my intuition and not fear or wishful thinking?" This is such a tough question to answer because it's really about knowing yourself. Most of us feel fear when we try anything new because it takes us out of our comfort zone. Conversely, most of us have an ideal life we'd like to experience and our intuition can help guide us there. But how do we know it's not just "Pollyanna thinking?" Here are some guidelines to help you in trusting your intuition:
* If the message contains thoughts of hope, love, encouragement, wisdom, strength and comfort, it's your intuition speaking.
* You may feel a sense of peace come over you as you contemplate a right course of action. You may still feel nervous about actually doing this thing but you will feel right about it nonetheless.
* You feel consistently passionate and excited about something over a period of time. This is usually a nudge from your intuition to go for it.
* You've followed your guidance and taken some small steps towards your goal and you find that opportunities begin to open up to you. You're on the right path!
* You're drawn to a book or overhear a conversation and the words seem as though they were directly spoken to you in answer to your request for guidance.
* You begin to feel grateful or have an attitude of appreciation for your life even though you may be going through a difficult time. This is your intuition speaking.
* Insight that comes quickly into your mind after a prayer or request for guidance is usually the right path to follow.
