Dear Readers -
May was a whirlwind month for me! On May 10, I got to meet many of you who live in New York at the Schick Intuitionfest in Central Park. What a fun day! About 8,000 people turned out to hear singer/songwriter, Jewel, singing her new hit, "Intuition." I was at the "Explore Intuition" booth chatting with folks about how to develop this valuable skill.
Last week I attended the annual Book Expo in Los Angeles. This was the first time I went and it never ceases to amaze me all that goes into making a book successful. There were publishers, agents, publicists, designers, magazine editors, buyers, packagers, advertisers, you name it! I came back rather overwhelmed and in awe of the whole industry.
Thank you to all who have purchased Compass of the Soul. I really appreciate the many e-mails and letters I've received. It feels great to be able to write a book and to have it touch so many lives.

4. CHOOSING THE PATH WITH A HEART
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*
Have you ever talked yourself out of something you really desired because you believed you probably wouldn't be able to attain it? Maybe you had a dream of being able to travel all over the world, or perhaps it was to own a large home in the country or to have your own successful business one day.
I've talked to thousands of clients over the past fifteen years who have put their heart's desires on hold because they couldn't figure out how to get from where they were to where they wanted to be. They decided that instead of risking potential failure by taking action on their hopes and dreams they would do something practical instead. Many of them became unhappy lawyers, discontented sales managers or frustrated accountants.
These careers were often chosen not because they had any particular passion for this work but because they were pragmatic and provided a potential for higher income. Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a well-paying occupation. The problem lies in the reality that many people spend their lives ignoring their real calling, their passion, their true path with a heart.
Here are some questions to ask yourself to assure you're on the path with a heart:
* Do you feel excited and passionate about your choice? This is one of the primary ways your intuition will guide you.
* Will your decision serve or help others, as well as yourself? Any choice that is a true "path of the heart" will not only fulfill your goals and desires in some way, it will also serve others.
* When you begin to take action on your choice, do opportunities appear and synchronicities occur? Pay attention to any signs and symbols that show up to indicate that you have taken a right action.
* Will your decision provide you with an occasion to use your unique gifts, abilities, and skills? The path with a heart will always use your particular talents. These are part of your tools to create your destiny in this life.
The truth is, your point of power is in the here and now. Don't postpone your happiness until you find the perfect relationship or your ideal job. Experience the aliveness of each moment, focus on what truly makes you happy, brings you gladness and creates love. This is the path of the heart and I assure you that when you make this path a constant choice you will experience a successful, abundant, and joyful life.

I've written a "Prosperity Prayer" as part of a new book. I've been mentioning it in the newsletter for several months and it continues to be the most downloaded article I've written. I've used it myself, shared it with some clients and a few friends and we've all had some amazing results. Money, ideas and opportunities seem to come miraculously after saying the prayer for a few days to a few weeks. 6. EVERYDAY SPIRITUALITY
Seven Ways to Connect With the Divine
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*
Following are some suggestions for finding "Divine Moments" to connect with the sacred in your daily life.
NATURE BREAK - Take a few moments to step outside, rain or shine, and go for a short walk. You may see an unusual cloud formation, a resilient weed pressing up through the pavement, feel inspired by the birds soaring in the sky, hear a child's laugh, or be especially appreciative of the clean air you breathe. Pay special attention to the natural beauty and abundance that God has created all around you.
GRATITUDE PAUSE - We spend much of our lives waiting, whether it's in line at the grocery store, standing in the elevator as we go to the office, or in the car in a traffic jam. When you find yourself with a few moments on your hands, think silent thoughts of gratitude for all that you have.
ROAD PEACE - Most people don't behave in a raging and abusive manner if all is well in their lives. The Course in Miracles makes a statement, "Today I will see all anger as a request for love." Imagine sending love to the harried driver who cut you off on your way to work. See him or her as needing your compassion rather than retaliation.
MORNING BLESSINGS - Before you open your eyes in the morning, envision the day to come. Pray that you speak, think, and act with love and wisdom throughout the day.
ANGEL BLESSINGS - You probably know someone at your office or in your neighborhood who is down on their luck. Perhaps they've been experiencing ill health, are caring for a sick family member, or perhaps they have experienced a recent financial crisis. What could you provide that would be helpful to this person? Giving doesn't need to cost money. You could shovel a driveway, rake leaves, provide a meal, offer to baby-sit, drive them to an appointment, shop for their groceries, or simply offer a listening ear.
CHECKBOOK FAITH - Paying bills each month creates anxiety for many people. Use it as an opportunity to build your faith by making a donation to someone less fortunate. Here's an affirmation to bring to mind as you write the check, "I freely give, knowing that as I do I am opening myself to God's rich abundance." There is a spiritual cycle of giving and receiving. As you freely give, you open yourself to receive.
INTUITION INTERLUDE - Next time you find yourself fraught with anxiety, check in with your Divine guidance. Get in the habit of asking questions of your intuition and expecting a reply. You might ask, "What could I do to feel calmer about the meeting this afternoon?" In response, you get an image of a quiet lunch in the park by your office coming to mind. That is one of the ways your intuition responds - through images. Your intuition is connected to a higher wisdom that always knows what you need. It will always lead you to peace, love, forgiveness, gratitude and faith.
