Dear Friends -
Like many of you, I've been feeling such a sense of compassion for the Tsunami victims this past week. It's hard to know how to help when this is all taking place so many miles from home. I've been sending prayers, healing and light several times a day.
Marianne Williamson wrote a wonderful prayer in her newsletter:
Dear God,
Please work a miracle in those whose lives were
lost or broken in the wake of the tsunami.
May Your hand upon them bring comfort and peace.
May the love of the world bring aid and relief.
Send a legion of angels to their side,
to uplift them in their time of need.
And show us how we can serve.

Some of you have seen Masuru Emoto interviewed in the wonderful movie, "What the Bleep Do We Know." He's the person with the stunning photographs of water molecules. 5. MAKING YOUR DREAMS COME ALIVE IN 2005
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO CREATE THIS YEAR?
Being clear about what you want is often the first step in being able to create it. What work do you want to do? What changes would you like to make in your social life? What would an ideal spiritual life look like? How much money do you want to earn? What kind of activities do you want to be involved in? Is there anything that drains you? What could you let go of in order to create more balance and energy?
WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHEN TIME FLIES BY?
If you're unable to easily answer the first question, see if question #2 brings an immediate response. In order to create a life you love, it's important to simply begin where you are. Perhaps you yearn for more time to lounge around and read a good book, or the thought of taking time to tend your garden makes your spirit soar. Giving yourself permission to do the small day-to-day things will result in more joy in your life. Do more of this and the abundant and expansive life you yearn for will begin to unfold.
TRUST YOUR INTUITION
We are all born with a wonderful inner guidance. We receive this wisdom through feelings, images, dreams, knowings and physical sensations. Learn to ask your intuition questions. Be alert for the answers. It may not come immediately. Have patience! Intuition is quick and ready insight. It's an extremely valuable tool whether you want to succeed in business, in relationships or when you're trying to find a job. Notice what excites you as you go about your day. It's a critical clue from your intuition. The word "enthusiasm" comes from the Greek root, entheos, which means "guidance within." If you feel energized by a course of action, it's your guidance within, your intuition, telling you to pursue it.
FOCUS ON WHAT'S WORKING
Our culture has been very invested in focusing on "what's wrong." For instance, when was the last time you heard of massive research funding for studying healthy, happy people? When was the last time you went to a therapist who asked "What makes you happy?" Have you ever gone to a doctor who congratulated you on all the things that were working well in your body? There's power in the attitude of gratitude and positive focus. It's a potent tool for directing your life.
SHIFT YOUR THOUGHTS
If you buy the theory that what you focus on with your thoughts and beliefs is intensified in your life, why not put all your attention on what makes you happy, challenged and healthy? One of the techniques that works for me when I'm feeling upset is simply to ask myself, "Is there another way to think about this issue/concern/worry?" I catch myself in the early stages of worry and negative thinking and begin to focus on what I want instead of what I don't want.
TAKE SMALL STEPS
The trick to breaking this habit of thought that afflicts many of us is two fold: 1) just begin and 2) start small. Take a first step to what you feel excited about and then take another one and another one. Remain centered in the present. That's your point of power. Trust your inner direction from your intuition. When you follow your passion, excitement, and inner knowing, you'll discover what makes you happy and fulfilled. When you know what you want, there's a clear path to achieve it. Your guidance will show you the way.
