1. Welcome

Dear Friends –

I love teaching intuition seminars! It allows me to share something I’m passionate about, visit new places and meet YOU! I just returned from Austin, TX, where I taught a Trust Your Gut class at the wonderful spa and retreat center called The Crossings. Half the folks in the class were there because they heard about it through this newsletter. This was an unusual seminar because we were all women! We laughed, learned, chatted and ate lots of wonderful, healthy food in between our massage appointments. Life is good! ;-)

If all that sounds appealing and you’re sorry you missed the fun, consider signing up for “The Jana Jam” in Colorado Springs, CO. Join me and my friend and troubadour, Jana Stanfield, for a joy-filled weekend of crafts, connection, intuition, singing and pampering. It’s being held at Cheyenne Mountain Resort on March 9 and 10. To register or for more information go to CampExperience.com

Below you’ll find an excerpt from my latest book, Trust Your Gut: How the Power of Intuition Can Grow Your Business. The book is filled with techniques and exercises. This one is called, Are You Ready for a Change? Whether you’re in business, thinking about starting a business (or simply love everything I write… ;-)) buy my book! You’ll find it on Amazon.com at Trust Your Gut

Intuitively yours,
Lynn

2. Wisdom Quotes

“I keep the telephone of my mind open to peace, harmony, health, love, and abundance. Then, whenever doubt, anxiety, or fear try to call me, they will keep getting a busy signal -- and soon they’ll forget my number.” -- Edith Armstrong

“What does your spirit most want you to know and do today?” -- Alan Cohen

“The Creator of the universe, who has ordered the stars and the heavens and the earth, has a plan for your life. You are not a random act. You are not here by chance, but by design. You are destined for greatness that begins with your believing in your own destiny.” -- Mary Manin Morrissey

“Never face reality unless it matches what you want.” -- Abraham-Hicks

5. Are You Ready for a Change?
Take This Quiz and Find Out!

“Grand adventures await those who are willing to turn the corner.” -- Chinese saying

Following is an excerpt from Trust Your Gut!

Are You Ready for a Change?

1) I want to be in a different job next year.
2) I like my career, but feel I’m in the wrong position.
3) I long for the weekends when I can work on my hobbies or other interests.
4) There are other career choices that have always fascinated me.
5) I need to find something new that’s fresh and creative.
6) My work has become predictable and boring.
7) I find myself daydreaming a lot about switching careers.
8) I long for a way to make a contribution to my community.
9) My work/life balance is out of balance.
10) I’m ready to work for myself.
(Or, if you’re already an entrepreneur…) I’m ready to work for someone else.

If you answered yes to most of the questions, you’re definitely in a rut. Your intuition is telling you unambiguously that it’s time for a change.

Many people get stuck in that limbo period between “I know it’s time to leave (or change) my work” and “I don’t know what I want to do next.” It’s an unsettling time for most people. We hate not knowing. The famous philosopher “anonymous” once said, "The bend in the road is not the end of the road unless you refuse to make the turn." Here are some steps to get you started so you can make the right turn.

Acknowledge it’s time for a change. — You don’t need to give up a job or career right now as the result of this insight. It’s simply an inner step in the process of change. Consider letting friends and appropriate colleagues know what you’re thinking and feeling. They may see that you possess strengths, skills and interests that you haven’t acknowledged in yourself.

Give yourself a period of exploration time — Depending on your situation, this can be a few weeks to a few years. You’re using this time to consult your inner compass, your intuition. Of the possibilities in front of you, what feels exciting? Be willing to explore interests that may not make immediate sense in terms of a career choice. Within your dreams, interests and aspirations you’ll find opportunity. It’s as if your intuition gives you clues about the best path to follow even though your limited logical mind may not know where you’re headed!

Commit to taking action steps — Motivational speaker and author Tony Robbins once observed, “You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action." What are three things you could do this month that would give you information about your interest? Perhaps you could take a class, read a book, make an appointment with a career coach or talk to someone who has a similar goal. It doesn’t have to be a huge risk. When you commit to action, your intuition can begin to guide you. It puts options, possibility and hope in your path.

Ask your intuition open-ended questions — these might include “What would I enjoy doing for work?” “What next steps can I take that will lead me in the right direction?” “Who can I talk with that will help me with these choices?” “What could I do that would help others and be fun for me?” The answers may not pop into your mind immediately. That’s normal. However, as you go about your day, pay attention to any inner nudges or impulses from your intuition that points you in a new direction.

6. Some of My Favorite Things

I’ll bet many of you on this list have done treasure maps or collages of things that you want to manifest. The Internet has provided a wild, new opportunity for bringing them to life. Check out this Vision Statement by Malcolm Cohan.

You may have recently heard about the herd of horses that were trapped in wind and rain for three days on a tiny water-enclosed piece of land. The women who came up with this heart-warming rescue were truly guided by their intuition. View the video.
