Brown: Fatal Shooting Must Have Full Investigation
September 19, 2007
Washington, (D.C.) Today, At-Large Councilmember Kwame R. Brown called for a full investigation of the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old in Southeast Monday night. He applauds the Mayor for taking action: It was important that the Mayor took swift action. Now that it is in the hands of the US Attorneys office, the Mayor and the police department must ensure that a full investigation is completed and all questions of the case are answered in detail, in a timely manner. At this point, the family has many unanswered questions and they want us to get down to the bottom of it. My heart goes out to the family members and the community during this difficult time. I encourage them to stay strong and stand together. ____________________________________________________________________
