According to police reports, this past Sunday night, a 19-year-old young man was found killed in his car suffering from 3 gunshot wounds to his body. The car was reported found on Florida Avenue NE. It is also reported that a red scooter with two men pulled along side of the victim’s car while he was sitting in traffic and opened fire. Two witnesses said the scooter then drove away towards 4th Street. “It’s unfortunate to hear of the tragic death of another young man in the District as the result of violent crime,” said Councilmember Brown. “If anyone has any information about the shooting, I ask that you please come forward to the police. We must continue to fight for the safety of our families and stand together as a community. My condolences go out to the family and friends during this difficult time.” __________________________________________________________________
