Official Code to modify the authorized use of 16 funds from the Neighborhood Revitalization Commercial Corridor Redevelopment 17 Project, within the capital budget, for a project on Georgia Avenue, N.W. The amount of $1.5 million shall be allocated to the Deputy Mayor for 24 Planning and Economic Development for the purpose of issuing a grant to George Avenue 25 Investment Partners, LLC, to support the development of affordable housing units and/or 26 neighborhood-serving retail in the 6400 block of Georgia Avenue, N.W. _____________________________________________ MONDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2007, 10:00AM, COMMITTEE ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TOPIC: B17-503 Compliance and Enforcement Agency Establishment Act of 2007. LOCATION: Council Chamber, Room 500, John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004 SUMMARY: The Compliance and Enforcement Agency Establishment Act of 2007 is the culmination of feedback from numerous public hearings, District residents, business owners, and major project tours. It was authored by Councilmember Brown and introduced during the Committee of the Wholes legislative meeting on November 6, 2007. The Act would establish a Compliance and Enforcement Agency within the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development. The legislation was co-introduced by eleven other Councilmembers including Chairman Gray and Councilmembers Alexander, Barry, Bowser, Catania, Cheh, Evans, Mendelson, Schwartz, Thomas, and Wells. _____________________________________________
