The other morning
my husband and daughter went out for a bit, leaving me to enjoy the
stillness of a quiet home. It had been a busy weekend and the respite was
deeply appreciated.
As I
enjoyed some writing and reading time, I came upon this week's quote.
Upon
reading it, I knew that it held a gift for the upcoming holiday season.
What would our holidays be like if we retained our connection to the child
within us? Looked at through the wide-eyed wonder of a child, what
joy might await us?
I
challenge you to do your best to maintain a sense of amusement and
possibility as you glide through your week. If you find yourself being too
adult-like, say a little prayer and ask Spirit to help you relax.
As
the days get shorter, let the
magic of the season and the light within you transport you to a time of
joy, blessings and miracles.
Wishing you a week filled with wonder,
P.S. Be sure to read all the
exciting new happenings in this week's newsletter below!
Quote of the Week:
"We
are all born children. The trick is remaining one."
- Pablo Picasso
Question:
What might this holiday season be like if
you were to experience it from the eyes of a child? What possibilities
await, both for you and for others?
Affirmation:
"I eagerly open my heart and my eyes to allow the
child within me to come forth. In doing so, the Spirit of the holidays come
alive and so do I!"

One of the most
gratifying parts of writing Monday Morning Coach is hearing from you.
Knowing that my writing resonates with you and addressing things that matter
most to you is what inspires me to keep writing. One reader recently wrote .

Dear Coach Carole,
What can I do to get
out of this end-of-the-year, holiday's-are-approaching funk. I don't feel
like being productive?
- Bored in Boston
Dear Bored,
My first question to you is, just how important is it that you be
productive? Obviously there are things on your task list that must be done,
but what if you gave yourself a bit of a break? In allowing yourself to BE
more and DO less, you might find a new sense of refreshment (which in turn
will help you to be more productive).
My second question to you is what is your deepest intention for this holiday
season? If you were to identify what matters to you the most, you can
become very intentional in what you do and dont commit to doing.
Subsequently, you might find more joy and satisfaction in your days and a
little less boredom. Remember, its up to you to decide how you want to
experience the holidays. You can do what you always do and get more of the
same or you can try something different. The choice is yours.
What topics would you like to see addressed in upcoming issues of
Monday Morning Coach? Do you have a specific question that you'd like to
ask?
Dont be shy. Are you
pondering a question that you think may be unique to you? I assure you, there are
others asking the same question.

The Power of Appreciation (Hardcover)
by Mike Robbins
(Author)
Robbins, a motivational speaker and
professional coach explores the power of positive thinking and the art of
appreciation. Like other self-help titles, such as The Secret, Robbins
writes that like attracts like, and to get what we want in life we must
focus on what we want (rather than what we don't want). Robbins explains how
the simple act of appreciation can change our lives.
