2 New "Strong Start" Teleclasses Begin September 2006
Dear Colleagues, August is over, and I am (finally!) ready to get back to work. Are you? To get energized, consider joining one of our practice-building teleclasses, a convenient (and inexpensive) way to get quality, real-time business coaching by phone from the privacy of your home or office. We begin our signature Strong Start Teleclasses in September. These are specifically designed for therapists and other healing professionals. One Strong Start teleclass is scheduled for Tuesdays at 2:00 PM EST, and the other teleclass takes place Thursdays at 5:30 PM EST. (Note for Coaches: We have a new teleclass just for you starting in October, see the website for information.) I have been leading these classes for a decade now. They keep evolving, as the challenges and solutions for therapists change and develop. Each time, I appreciate the role of interactive coaching, and the power of the group. The professional support on our classes weaves its own magic, helping people to shift, change, and grow as entrepreneurs. The classes are structured to help you become savvier in your approach to building your practice, especially during these times of economic uncertainty. The group experience offers lots of brainstorming, motivation, accountability, many aha moments, and just plain fun. We find that the program is effective no matter who you are and what stage of development you are at: Senior therapist looking to sustain a practice; Therapist in transition from one job to a private practice, or trying to get off of managed care; Newer therapist getting started. Whatever your goals for the remainder of 2006, they will be easier to achieve with the right kind of support and our step-by-step coaching program. About the "Strong Start" Teleclass for Therapists and Other Healing Professionals
Starting a private practice or renovating a stalled one can be daunting. It takes time and energy to turn a small practice that is just surviving into one that is profitable thriving. Going it alone can be tough, especially when you have a full and demanding life. It helps to have the right kind of support when you are building your practice. The right kind of support is a professional group of your peers who will celebrate with you when you succeed, commiserate (but not indulge you) when you have a tough time, help you stay consistently motivated, encourage you, and hold you accountable for your goals. We meet by "bridgeline" an easy to access conference line, that you dial just like a long-distance phone number at the given time, to be connected to everyone on the call. The Strong Start Teleclass Program is a twelve-hour, four-month-long progressive practice-building program that follows the first several months outlined in Lynn's best-selling workbook text: "12 Months to Your Ideal Private Practice: A Workbook" to help therapists and healing professionals take the right steps to build their ideal private practices. Using a combination of lecture, discussion, assessments, exercises, skill sets and lots of fieldwork, you will be guided through a curriculum-based program, based on the workbook. Each month the teleclass meets for a total of three hours by phone (one hour every week, three weeks per month, for a total of twelve hours) to complement the workbook objectives and assignments. The teleclass will help you to take the learning and preparation further than you might do on your own.

What Others Say About The Teleclass:
"Im in a great teleclass with Lynn Grodzki, who wrote Building Your Ideal Private Practice. One of the things she discusses is the concept of push vs. pull marketing. In push marketing, you are pushing yourself on other people. This includes aggressive forms of marketing (cold calls etc) as well as advertisements, where you are selling yourself. This type of marketing doesnt work well for those in the healing professions. It tends to rub against the grain, especially if you have a hard time with the notion of selling yourself in the first place. Pull marketing is when you put something of value out there that naturally pulls people towards you... From the blog of Mikelann Valterra, founder of the Womens Earning Institute and the author of "Why Women Earn Less- How to Make What Youre Really Worth." www.womenearning.blogspot.com - - - - - Taking this class was one of the best things I have ever done for myself, professionally, THANK YOU. I was able to get unstuck and make several important decisions. My income is up, I made several new colleagues/friends on the calls, and am on my way to a very good year financially. I loved the therapists in our group and I really appreciated the manner in which you and Wendy facilitated our wonderful discussions. LCSW from the USA - - - - - Even though I called in at an ungodly hour of the night, since I am half a world away, I wouldnt have missed this for anything. I got great coaching, loved the group input, and was able to meet the personal goals I had outlined for the 4 months and more. Thank you again! Psychologist in Sydney, Australia - - - - -
