The recent Tsunami and the large number of people who transitioned from the planet caused me recommit to all that is most important to me. My family was relieved to learn that my cousin, who spent his holidays in Thailand, was not near the area of the devastation.

Recently, I was on the telephone with a technical support specialist resolving a problem with my scanner. Raj, a technician who works for an American company in India, and I spoke about the recent Tsunami as we waited for my computer to uninstall and reinstall the software. His office was only 6 miles from the worst hit area in India. He told me about some islands off the coast of India that are home to an ancient tribal people. These people have none of the technology that we've become accustomed to and would be considered quite backward. When the Indian Coast Guard flew over the island to see if the people there needed help, they learned that no one on the island had lost their life even though they were in the midst of the worst part of the earthquake/tsunami. How could this be?

Like many of the animals, they sensed something was happening. They quickly moved to the highest point on the island, even climbing into trees to protect themselves from the waves.

The Coast Guard helicopter returned to the mainland covered in arrows shot by the islanders. The "technology" of the helicopter was not wanted on the island!

Raj and I marveled at how we depend on technology, but there are other ways of knowing. I feel grateful for my connection to Raj. (Ironically, we got disconnected before my technology questions were resolved! I sensed that the important part of our connection was achieved.)

What would it take for us to develop our intuitive ways of knowing to the same extent as our technology?
