Welcome to my monthly e-newsletter "The Quest." My name is Siobhan (Sha-vaun) Murphy and my company provides coaching, training and speaking services to entrepreneurs, professionals and executives.

Manifest Your Heart's Desire

To manifest means to bring an idea into form. To make something happen. Crystallize thought and make it visible and tangible. Manifesting takes something that was an idea and makes it appear in solid, tangible form. Your Heart's Desire is that "very wonderful thing" that your own still small voice inside of you has been talking about. It's the thing that's so bright it's hard to look at, but your heart flutters when it lands on that thought. It is a calling from your soul. Part of you gets excited and part of you gets scared. Your voice gets reverent and cautious when you talk about it. There's a sense that it's sacred.

Emmet Fox, a British man who practiced metaphysics (the study of that which precedes the physical) in the US, wrote about the Heart's Desire. What he noticed was that people didn't trust the magnificence of the call they were given. Who me? Do that magnificent thing? Well, I don't have the time, or the money, or the contacts, or the ideas, etc. Or it's just too amazing and I'll be ridiculed cruelly.

The point of the Heart's Desire is that if it's a true calling, everything necessary for its manifestation will be provided as long as we do our part. What's our part? To listen to the inner voice, trust in the Universe to provide, and say YES! Then listen for the next right step, take it, and then listen to the next right step and take it and so on.

I just completed a keynote speech on Taking Care of You in a Hectic World for the Market Research Association. Attraction in Action

I frequently coach business people to attract their perfect customers using an amazing tool called the Strategic Attraction Plan. I worked with a woman on this process. We did a powerful visualization where she discovered her perfect customer, defined the light she shines when she's at her best and created an action plan to help her be more in alignment with her perfect customer. She started working her action plan and a client called to say yes to a large proposal that he had received from her the year before. She called me up to share her excitement of this sale that came "out of the blue." I reminded her that we had done the inner work necessary to align her with her perfect customer and it was "out of the plan" – not out of the blue.
