My Dear Friends, Hi! Hope this finds you happy. Well! Friends have written - African Americans, Native Americans, Australians, Mexicans, Japanese, Jews and others letting me know that their culture definitely has their version of crab technology going on. Here, for your pleasure, is the latest and best description in words of how to do TAT. I left the page numbers in the text. It prints up nicely on four pages. I believe I used 12 point text, maybe 14. You are welcome to print this up and hand it out. This is the absolute how-to core of Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT). I wrote this up because I was going to have a chance to share it with incarcerated veterans and I figured I would meet with them just one time. I had just this one chance to communicate this in the best and most direct way possible. You are welcome to make copies of this and hand it out to your clients, post it on your website, send it to friends, etc. Before I print it for you (just below), I have a request: If you would like to serve your native countrymen or people who speak a foreign language you know by making this available, please translate it! Send me a copy and I will post it at my website. I would love that. This is an unpaid position! It's four pages. Some of the spaces between sections are long. I'll put ***** at the end of the whole piece. In the body of the text, the sm after TAT stands for 'service mark'. It's supposed to be a small raised script (superscript). I don't think it's possible to create that on this eNewsletter. The R with a circle around it to mean registered could also go there. It's my request that you include that in your copies. OK, here you go: TAT INTERNATIONAL Sharing the celebration of Love by delivering inner peace, relaxation, more vibrant health, and empowerment PMB 7000-379 Redondo Beach, CA 90277 (310) 378-7381 fax* (310) 378-2318 www.unstressforsuccess.com tapas@unstressforsuccess.com WHAT IS TAT?
Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) sm is an easy process for ending traumatic stress, reducing allergic reactions and freeing yourself of negative beliefs. TAT is a new, simple and effective technique that delivers inner peace, relaxation, more vibrant health and empowerment in minutes.** It combines lightly holding a few acupressure points on your head (the TAT pose) as you put your attention on a problem (the Steps of TAT).* TAT does not replace therapy or health care from medical professionals. HOW TO DO THE TAT POSE With one hand, lightly touch the tip of the thumb to the area 1/8-inch above the inner corner of your eye.* With the fourth finger (ring finger) of the same hand, lightly touch the tip of the finger to the area 1/8-inch above the inner corner of the other eye.* Both fingertips are now on either side of the bridge of your nose.* Place the tip of the middle finger at the point midway between, and about 1/2 inch above, eyebrow level.* You now have all three fingertips lightly touching the three points.* If you make your hand look like a coyote looking at you, it is easy to remember how to do the TAT pose. Now place your other hand on the back of your head, with the palm touching the head so that the thumb is resting at the base of the skull just above the hairline.* The palm cradles the base of your skull.* If you are holding your hands in the TAT pose on someone else, the same area at the base of the skull is covered, however your little finger will be just above the hairline.* Both hands should be resting gently.* No pressure is necessary. For children age 11 and under, the pose is done by holding the hand in front open with the palm covering the three points.* The hand at the back is in the same position. For babies or very sick people or anyone who feels uncomfortable with touch, the pose is done by holding the hands in the same position as for children, only the hands are an inch or two away from the person's head. Step 1: The problem. Step 2:* The opposite condition.* ** For a trauma, the statement is:* It happened, it's over, I'm OK and I can* relax. ** For a negative belief, it is the opposite condition in the words of the person with ***** the negative belief. ** For an allergy, the statement is:* My body has no problem with (whatever the ***** allergen is). Step 3:* All the origins of this problem are healing now.* or God (or whatever name you use), thank you for healing all the origins of this problem. **** Step 4:* All the places in my mind, body and life where this has been a problem/resonated/been held/been stuck are healing now.* or God, thank you for healing all the places in my mind, body and life where this has been a problem/resonated/been held/been stuck.* (your choice) Step 5:* All the parts of me that got something out of having this problem are healing now.* or God (or whatever name you use), thank you for healing all the parts of me that got something out of having this problem. Step 6:* I forgive everyone I blamed for this problem, including God and myself. Step 7:* I ask forgiveness of everyone I hurt because of this problem. Review After you've completed the TAT Steps, put your attention on the problem again.* Check and see if there's anything about it that still bothers you.* If there is, put your attention on that and do the TAT pose for a couple of minutes or until you feel done.* Continue in this way until there is nothing about it that hurts you, troubles you or feels stuck.* You will know you're done because when you think about the problem you feel free, at peace and relaxed. ** ** ** ** ** ** * The simplest way to use TAT is to put your attention on the problem, be in the TAT pose, and watch your feelings, thoughts and sensations pass by like clouds in the sky.* You are welcome to do all seven of the Steps of TAT or to do it this way. ** ** ** ** ** ** * The first time you ever do TAT, do the TAT pose with your attention for one minute or so on this statement, "I deserve to live and I can accept love, help and healing."* You only need to do that once ever.* You don't need to do all seven steps with this. Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) Page 3. If you are doing TAT alone, you may want to reflect on what happened by writing down what happened as you did each step.* If you are working with someone else on their issue, ask them to tell you what happened after each step.* They can rest their arms during this time.* Watch them and listen without making comment or direction.* Just accept and acknowledge what they have told you and have them do the next step.* Do the TAT pose with each step.* Each step should last around a minute or until you feel done.* Feeling done can be indicated by a sigh, a sense of not being engaged with the problem anymore, your attention wandering, an energy release, or simply a feeling of being done.* For children, this may happen in a few seconds.* You can use either hand in front.* You can keep your eyes open or closed, as you wish. Very rarely, your feelings may get stronger as you do TAT.* If this happens, stay in the TAT pose and put your attention back on what you were doing in that step.* Don't put your attention on getting more and more into the feeling.* Following these instructions, the feeling usually turns to peace in less than half a minute.* If you don't feel peace about this problem in about a half a minute, ask for help from a mental health professional.* To dissolve the stress from a problem, do the TAT pose as you do each of the Steps of TAT.* You can rest your arms at any time you want -- during a step and/or between steps.* Put your attention on the thought in each step. In Step 3, you don't need to know what the origins are.* Just make the intention that they are healing now. In Step 4, you don't need to know what all the places in your mind, body and life are that the problem has been stuck.* Just make the intention that whatever they are, they are healing now. In Step 5, you don't need to know if any parts of you got something out of this.* You also don't need to know what those parts might have gotten out of this.* Just make the intention that if there were any parts of you that got something out of this, they are healing now. Keep your TAT work to a maximum of 20 minutes per day actually in the TAT pose. Drink 6-8 glasses of water on the days you do TAT. When you are done with your work, I recommend that you give thanks. I don't believe that the TAT process itself does the healing.* God, Divine Love, or the natural energy of life that does the healing.* TAT opens the gateway for the healing to occur. You have my love and best wishes for your health and happiness, Tapas Fleming Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) Page 4. How to Use TAT to be Happier 1.* If something happened that keeps bothering you (even if you don't know what it is), hold the TAT pose and do: Step 1:* It happened.
