Dear Friends,
Some of you have heard me mention a certification program for TAT and have been eager for details. I am happy to have the latest information ready to share with you.
In the past, we have had TAT Practitioners and TAT Teachers as our designations, with no certification available. Our new designations, replacing the above, are Certified TAT Professionals and Certified TAT Trainers. We are opening up the opportunity for you to be a Certified TAT Professional if you would like to use TAT in your healing practice, or a Certified TAT Trainer if you would like to train people in how to use TAT. You can, of course, obtain both certifications if you would like, but the Certified Professional designation is a requirement for applying to become a Certified Trainer. While anyone can teach TAT or use it in their practice without being certified by TATLife, the certification will give you:
- The opportunity to post your contact information at the website as a Certified Professional or Trainer
- Access to a portion of the website that supports Certified Professionals and Trainers (this is being developed)
- The ability for Certified TAT Trainers to give TAT workshops that will fulfill part of the requirements for others to receive certification as Professionals and Trainers, including TATLife Certificates of Completion for all attendees to your workshops
- Training support materials (these are being developed)
- Discounts to workshops and products including an affiliate program with special rates for Professionals and Trainers
- Brochure and business card artwork with the TATLife logo for use by Certified TAT Professionals and Trainers only (these are being developed)
- Materials to keep Professionals and Trainers up-to-date on information regarding TAT
- The confidence of knowing that you have a thorough understanding of the essential information for successfully applying TAT with ease
-
And more
Until some time after the first of next year (specific date to be announced), you will be grandfathered in as a Certified TAT Professional provided you have met the qualifications listed on the website. During the grandfathering period, Professionals and Trainers will be offered free classes so that everyone has an understanding of basic approaches to healing with TAT along with a body of personal experience to support their understanding. There will be a nominal membership fee to maintain your Professional or Trainer status once all the supporting documentation is ready and we have ended the grandfathering in period. That date will be announced towards the end of this year.
If you would like to be grandfathered in as a Certified TAT Professional or Certified TAT Trainer and you meet the qualifications, please complete our Certification Submission form, which can be accessed from the qualifications page. We reserve the right to accept a submission or not. The Certification Submission form will also be used to collect information for the new website listing of all Certified TAT Professionals and Trainers. This listing will replace the current one, so if you would like to continue to be listed, be sure to send us your information. The new listing will be posted at the website by mid-July.
If you have any questions about certification, please write our Education Coordinator, Sara Arey, at sara@TATLife.com. If you belong to another online list that has TAT practitioners or teachers on it who may want to be grandfathered in, please feel free to forward this newsletter to the list.
I am busy now making plans for the fall and I'm really excited about what we have coming up. On September 22 and 23, I will teach a workshop on Healing Trauma with TAT in Stockholm, Sweden at the beautiful Hotel Foresta. You do not need any previous experience with TAT to attend.
In Redondo Beach, California, on August 8, I will hold a workshop on Weight Loss and Weight Loss Maintenance and on August 9, a TAT Trainers Workshop. The Trainers Day will include information on using TAT to support people who have been through natural disasters as well as the essentials for TAT Trainers. You need to have completed the requirements for TAT Professionals in order to attend the TAT Trainers Day. This is a great opportunity for those of you who would like to take advantage of the opportunity to be grandfathered in.
We will be holding a Basics of TAT Workshop in Seattle, Washington in August, though we are still determining the dates.
We will have our Annual Symposium on October 27-31. The first two days of the Symposium are open to everyone, but you must have either taken a TAT Workshop or watched or listened to the TAT Workshop 2000.
The first day will be a Questions and Answers day, so bring all your "What do I do when
?" and "How do I
?" questions and we'll spend the entire day talking, laughing, and putting TAT into practice with your specific situations.
The second day, I will teach on TAT for Weight Loss and Weight Loss Maintenance. Whether this is an issue you are addressing yourself or you would like to help others as they address it, come learn what the research has shown and the most effective way not only to release extra weight but to heal its underlying causes as well.
On the third through fifth days, Bruce Campbell and I will lead an Inner Life Retreat. For this portion of the Symposium, you do not need to have participated in a workshop, but you do need to have done TAT on yourself (or have had sessions with someone else) to work on some of the large issues in your life so that you are comfortable with how it feels to work with TAT and have cleared some of your significant negative beliefs and/or traumas. The folks who participated in the Inner Life Retreat in May have reported such amazing and far-reaching results that I have decided to offer it again. I know that I am continuing to experience profound shifts, and I look forward to sharing this life-changing event with you.
For more information about all upcoming workshops and to register, please go to the calendar on the website. You may register for the entire Symposium or for specific days.
There is so much to be excited about! I'm happy to be sharing it with you now. I look forward to working with you and seeing you at the workshops.
I wish you blessings for your day.
Love, Tapas
